Welcome!
Jessica Denhez Designs explores design, art, writing, making, and all things creative as a part of daily life. Creativity can thread its way through all your activities, often without your active awareness... choosing an outfit for the day that expresses who you are, tweaking a familiar recipe to make your own signature dish, writing stories in your head while doing chores, or even brainstorming how to convince your hesitant child to try something new. We are constantly problem solving, brainstorming, and designing new ways of thinking, acting, and living. Some days, I create to bring beauty and inspiration to my corner of the world. Other days, I take time for myself to explore different art forms or rediscover past interests. Design & Make
For many years, I knew I wanted to create vintage-style handmade dolls, with a nod to nature. Soon there after, I was drawn to pillows and home décor. Before I knew it, my boys were requesting stuffed animals and softies, and I found myself knee deep in the design of cuddly creatures. What I love most about design and making things is that there isn't enough time in the world to bring to life everything you imagine, but you can surely try...
Travel & Explore
For those who love to explore new landscapes, it is hard to imagine anything more glorious than traveling to an unfamiliar land. Experiencing foreign sights, having culinary adventures, and absorbing local culture can inspire the artist in all of us.
Occasions
There is such joy and delight in planning for a special occasion, whether a child's birthday party, a New Year's Eve soirée, or a traditional English high tea with close friends. From deciding on a theme, to planning a menu, decorating the venue, and finally welcoming your guests, there is ample opportunity for creativity to abound!
Creativity Circles
Creativity circles are a lovely way to bring together a small group of women to create and have an inviting space to explore. This circle gives you a chance to create for the pure joy of expressing yourself, making something, or rediscovering lost interests, all in the company of open hearted, thoughtful friends. There is such power and joy in gathering a supportive group of women together to create, take risks, make mistakes, and be surprised.
