Jessica Denhez Designs explores design, art, writing, and creativity in everyday life. Creativity often threads its way unnoticed throughout our activities, whether choosing an outfit that expresses your personality, adjusting a familiar recipe to make your signature dish, imagining stories while gardening, or even brainstorming how to convince your child to try something new. We are always problem-solving and generating ideas for new ways to think, act, and live. Some days, I create to bring beauty and joy to my world. Other days, I explore different art forms or rediscover old interests as a form of escape or healing. Creativity Circles
Creativity circles are a lovely way to bring a small group of friends together to explore creativity in an inviting space. This circle allows you to create for the pure joy of self-expression, making something new, or revisiting old interests, surrounded by thoughtful friends. There is such power and joy in gathering with a supportive group to create, take risks, make mistakes, and be surprised.
Design & Make
For years, I wanted to create vintage-style dolls reminiscent of the handmade Victorian dolls my grandmother gave me as a child. After launching my Four Seasons Bright Young Things doll collection, I continued to celebrate my love of nature by designing seasonal pillows and home décor. Soon, my boys suggested stuffed animals and soft toys, so I found myself knee-deep in the design of cuddly creatures. Travel & Explore
For those who love to explore new landscapes, it is hard to imagine anything more glorious than traveling to an unfamiliar land. Experiencing foreign sights, having culinary adventures, and absorbing local culture can inspire the artist in all of us.
Celebrations
There is such joy and delight in planning a celebration, whether a child's birthday party, New Year's Eve soirée, or traditional English afternoon tea with friends. From choosing a theme to planning the menu, decorating, and inviting guests, opportunities for creative expression abound.
